Non-profit scientific publisher Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), UK, has announced that the latest issue of the journal Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion features eight articles based on presentations at the 10th International Workshop on the Fast Ignition of Fusion Targets. These articles will be free to read online until March 31, 2009.
The International Workshop on the Fast Ignition of Fusion Targets provides a vital forum for discussion on important topics in high intensity laser-plasma physics that are relevant to fast ignition. The event offered an opportunity for sharing ideas, forming new collaborations and maintaining the rapid progress in the field.
Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion covers all aspects of the physics of hot, highly ionised plasmas. This includes results of current experimental and theoretical research on all aspects of the physics of high-temperature plasmas and of controlled nuclear fusion, including the basic phenomena in highly-ionised gases in the laboratory, in the ionosphere and in space, in magnetic-confinement and inertial-confinement fusion as well as related diagnostic methods. A list of previous EPS Conference on Plasma Physics issues in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion and related news can also be found on the journal website.
