Paul Jagodzinski selected as chair of American Chemical Society's board of directors -

Dr. Paul Jagodzinski has been selected as chair of the board of directors of the American Chemical Society (ACS), a scientific membership organisation with more than 152,000 members, effective January 1, 2021.

As chair of the Society’s 16-member chief governing body, Jagodzinski will preside over board and executive committee meetings, appoint chairs and members of board committees and task forces, oversee the performance of the chief executive officer, and support strategic planning and evaluation of progress toward the goals, among other duties.

Jagodzinski is a professor of chemistry at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He earned a bachelor's degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1973. He has been a member of ACS since 1976.
