Information services company Penton has announced that Paul Miller has joined the company as Group President with responsibility for a broad portfolio that includes energy and buildings, design engineering and sourcing, and manufacturing and supply chain markets.
Penton continues to attract top leadership talent with critical skill sets in progressive information services capabilities. Nearly 50 percent of Penton's staff has joined in the past three years, and the influx of talent has supported double-digit growth in Penton's digital/data information, events/networking and marketing services businesses. These now represent Penton's largest sources of revenue and EBITDA.
As the former CEO of UBM Tech, Miller drove the $200 million business unit's expansion into digital content and services, as well as international expansion into Europe, Asia and Latin America. Prior to UBM Tech, he served as CEO of UBM Electronics. He started his career with Reed Business Information.
Miller will be based in Penton's new San Francisco office reporting to David Kieselstein. He will succeed Bob MacArthur, who is retiring after an exceptional 24-year career with Penton, where his contributions have been instrumental in helping the company evolve and expand.
