PeerJ, in collaboration with the Southern eDNA Society (SeDNAs), is excited to announce the launch of the SeDNAs Hub, a new platform designed to foster collaboration and innovation in environmental DNA (eDNA) research. The SeDNAs Hub, accessible at PeerJ SeDNAs Hub, aims to support and promote cutting-edge research in eDNA, a rapidly evolving field that is revolutionizing biodiversity measurement, pest detection, and environmental management.
SeDNAs, a newly formed society, brings together eDNA researchers from Australia and New Zealand to enhance science and industry collaboration. The society also hosts the Australian & New Zealand Environmental DNA Conference, scheduled for February 18-21, 2025, in Wellington, New Zealand.
The SeDNAs Hub will serve as a platform for sharing innovative eDNA research and applications. The dedicated editorial team will assess presubmissions for community relevance, while full submissions will undergo peer review through PeerJ's Life & Environment journal.
To celebrate the launch, the first 25 abstracts approved by the Hub Editorial Team by March 14, 2025, will receive a 100% waiver on publication fees.
PeerJ Hubs offers a sustainable, open-access publishing solution for research communities. By providing a custom platform with discounted publishing options, the SeDNAs Hub will help promote eDNA research and strengthen the global eDNA research network.
