PeerJ appoints Georgina Gurnhill as new Director of Marketing & Communications -

PeerJ, an open access publisher of scholarly articles in the biological, life & medical sciences, has announced the appointment of Georgina Gurnhill into a new role of Director of Marketing & Communications, effective July 1. Based out of the publisher's London office, Georgina is the go-to-person for all community liaisons, press inquiries, and events.

Georgina joins PeerJ most recently from Digital Science where she headed up their central marketing and communications team, mentoring multiple start-up and early-stage tech businesses for the scientific community. With over 16 years experience in global scientific and medical publishing Georgina has also held senior strategic marketing positions at The Lancet, Thomson Reuters, Nature Publishing Group and Institute of Physics Publishing.
