Penton, an innovative professional information services company, has appointed Barbara Couchois to the newly created role of vice president, marketing monetisation and named George Assimakopoulos head of client services, to drive the company's exceptional growth in marketing services. The company's marketing services group has more than doubled over the last three years and is expected to eclipse $40 million in revenue this year. Barbara and George will report to Chief Marketing Officer Kate Spellman.
Couchois will be responsible for continuing to develop Penton's comprehensive marketing services offering while delivering a strong return on investment for its clients. Prior to Penton, Couchois served as vice president, media operations and client services at UBM Tech where she led the integrated media and marketing services operations. She brings more than 14 years of management experience and a proven track record in agency, software, B2B and marketing services to this role.
In addition, George Assimakopoulos, who was previously vice president of marketing services, will move into a new leadership role as head of client services.
Assimakopoulos will focus on deepening Penton's agency relationships and helping them unlock value from the company's comprehensive capabilities. This includes Penton's new horizontal offering that focuses on key purchase decision makers and influencers by job function across the company's entire database of over 18 million professionals.
Assimakopoulos will be based in Penton's Washington, D.C. office, while Couchois will be based in Penton's new San Francisco office.
