Penton's Aviation Week has promoted Rupa Haria to the role of Director, Digital Content Strategy. In this newly created position, Rupa will be responsible for implementing projects that will continue to grow Aviation Week's digital engagement with the global marketplace, including overseeing content development on AviationWeek.com and related digital channels, social media outreach and app development for mobile devices. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of AviationWeek.com.
In addition to her content role, Rupa will be working closely with Aviation Week's marketing teams to build the brand internationally and increase digital outreach. She will continue to report to Joe Anselmo, Aviation Week & Space Technology Editor-In-Chief.
Rupa has helped establish AviationWeek.com as the leading aerospace and defence industry website, generating 2.2 million monthly page views, 870,000 monthly average visits and 488,000 unique visitors per month. She has also transformed Aviation Week's digital presence at international air shows by introducing the delivery of ShowNews content to digital platforms.
Aviation Week has received numerous industry accolades for its website and social media outreach, including being honoured with the Aerospace Journalism Award for Best Integrated Digital/Social Media twice.
