Pharmaceutical Press, the publishing arm of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, UK, has announced the publication of the 37th edition of Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference. Martindale is available in print, online via MedicinesComplete and for the first time, as a combined print and online package.
An extensive market research undertaken last year, in partnership with Shift Learning, helped Pharmaceutical Press develop the resource to meet content and usability requirements. For the first time purely homoeopathic preparations have been listed in individual drug monographs as well as in the main Proprietary Preparations section of Martindale. In addition, with prescriptions now being valid across the EU, the team has added a useful lexicon of pharmaceutical terms that one may encounter on such scripts. It is hoped that it will aid the non-native speaking reader when it comes to interpreting packaging, product information or prescriptions in the languages provided.
Martindale provides reliable, unbiased and evaluated information on drugs and medicines used throughout the world. Alongside conventional medicines, information is included on herbals, diagnostic agents, radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical excipients, toxins, and poisons, making it a complete compendium of pharmaceutical topics.
Despite its long history, Martindale's ability to adapt with the developing needs of the market has seen it retain its position as the leading international reference in all areas of pharmacy practice and research.
