Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health), US, has announced that Pharmacy OneSource, software-as-a-service provider of Sentri7, a clinical surveillance, documentation and reporting application, is hosting a complimentary webinar on optimising core measures.
The webinar, 'Optimizing Core Measures Performance through Pharmacist-Driven Programs,' is scheduled for June 29, 2011, from 2 PM - 3 PM EST at http://www.pharmacyonesource.com/webinars. Presenters include Youbin Kim and Sam Ho, from Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission worked together to align the measure specifications for Quality Improvement Organizations (QIO). Now CMS links reimbursement to the hospital quality-of-care data. Kim and Ho will describe various pharmacist-driven clinical programmes at Riverside County Regional Medical Center that have enhanced the quality of patient care, improved CMS Core Measures, and provided safe use of medications with financial justifications.
