PharmaVentures, UK, has announced the appointment of Anne Vindenes Allen as Chief Operating Officer of PharmaDeals, the new publishing division of PharmaVentures Ltd. An innovative business, PharmaVentures assists pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the world in all aspects of deal making.
In addition to directing PharmaDeals, Allen will take forward PharmaDeals Reports publications, a portfolio of books and reports focused on deals and alliances. She will also contribute to the technical development of PharmaTelevision, the innovating web television channel.
A life scientist by training, Allen gained her publishing and management experience over nine years at Elsevier Science latterly as Publisher for a successful environmental sciences programme. Her knowledge and interest in new publishing technologies came in good stead as Editorial Director at Infotrieve Inc, where she contributed to the conceptual development of the Life Science Resource Centre database product. As Managing Director of TheScientificWorld Ltd, the scholarly publisher for biomedical sciences, Allen was responsible for designing and implementing their innovating scholarly journal platform.
