The Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3) has announced that the Physics Research Promotion Center of Taiwan has expressed its interest in joining the SCOAP3 consortium, representing the contribution of Taiwan.
With this new participation, the SCOAP3 partnership now includes hundreds of libraries from 31 countries. Collectively, these partners have pledged 85 percent of the SCOAP3 budget envelope of 10 million Euros/year. A network of National Contact Points is now supporting these libraries and consortia in calculating expected reductions in their current subscription contracts which will contribute to financing SCOAP3.
SCOAP3 is looking forward to expand these opportunities to other partners in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
