Energy information provider Platts, part of the McGraw-Hill Companies, US, has announced the launch of a new online service, LNG TraderNet. The web-based service is designed to provide traders, analysts, and other members of the LNG community with 'one-stop' market intelligence and analytical tools.
LNG TraderNet features a comprehensive range of resources, including price assessments, fundamental market data, decision-support tools, and news from Platts' global editorial team. Key features include access to Platts' LNG Tracker database which provides detailed information on existing and proposed regasification terminals and liquefaction facilities; a calculator that helps gauge opportunities and potential netback pricing up to three years into the future using Platts proprietary forward curves; interactive global map that provides profiles of terminals, facilities and ports and shows tanker movements and their estimated times of arrival; summary data on deliveries of LNG cargoes and actual prices paid; and searchable and archived news coverage of the global LNG market.
In addition, in the near future, subscribers will be able to access weather-related information that shows how weather conditions are affecting selected shipping routes and LNG cargoes. Subscriptions are offered on either a global or regional basis (Asia, Americas, or Europe, Middle East & Africa), with pricing based on the number of users. A free two-week trial is available to qualified prospects.
