The Public Library of Science (PLOS) and the Society of China University Journals (CUJS) have entered a three-year strategic partnership to collaborate on key topics in scholarly publishing, including open access, open science, scientific integrity, and research evaluation.
CUJS, a national academic organization with over 1,200 member journals, supports research and training initiatives in STM (science, technology, and medicine) publishing. The organization plays a central role in advancing the development of academic journals within Chinese universities.
Through this partnership, PLOS and CUJS will work together to identify indicators of trust and quality in scholarly publishing while promoting greater awareness of open science principles and research integrity. The collaboration aims to foster more equitable participation in open science and strengthen transparency in research publishing in China.
By combining expertise, both organizations seek to drive meaningful progress in the adoption of open-access publishing models and ensure that researchers worldwide benefit from a more inclusive and trustworthy scholarly ecosystem.
