PLOS Global Public Health celebrates 1000th paper published -

PLOS Global Public Health, a journal committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in global health research, is celebrating a significant milestone. The journal has published its 1000th paper, marking a major achievement since it launched in April 2021.

With a mission to address deeply entrenched inequities in global health, PLOS Global Public Health aims to make impactful research visible and accessible to health professionals, policymakers, and local communities. The journal is committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented and historically excluded communities, and promoting diversity at all levels of its operations, including its editorial board, peer reviewers, and authors.

Since publishing its first papers in October 2021, PLOS Global Public Health has covered a wide range of critical health issues, including COVID-19, gender disparities, service delivery improvement, and Indigenous health. The journal has welcomed submissions from over 100 countries, with corresponding authors from 77 countries, all of which have been handled expertly by its editorial board members from over 70 countries.

As PLOS Global Public Health celebrates this milestone, the journal's editors and staff are proud to have published 1000 papers that contribute to advancing the health of all humankind. The accomplishment demonstrates the journal's commitment to promoting equitable access to quality healthcare for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
