Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that Plymouth University is in production with the next-generation Ex Libris Alma solution. Plymouth has replaced a number of existing systems with two solutions - Primo for the discovery of all library collections and Alma for resource management.
Having adopted Primo in 2011, Plymouth began to look into adopting a next-generation management service that would transform library operations in the way that discovery systems are changing the user experience for researchers.
Plymouth University is one of the UK's most prominent and dynamic universities with an educational history dating back to 1862. Consistently ranked as one of the top three modern universities, Plymouth has over 30,000 students, almost 3,000 staff, and plays a major role in the Combined Universities in Cornwall.
