Medical publishing house PMPH-USA Ltd has released two medical procedure apps for iPad and iPhone for its new book EMS: A Practical Global Guidebook.
Authored by an international editorial team, led by Judith Tintinalli, Peter Cameron and Jim Holliman, the apps are replete with four-colour illustrations and photographs. These are projected to be particularly useful for EMS physicians, paramedics, EMTs, and health policymakers. The apps give purchasers the ability to take written and voice notes, and also feature a complete text search and highlighting to quickly find what you are looking for.
The apps include extensive, descriptive protocols and procedures containing EMS Clinical Care Protocols; Airway Management; ECG Interpretation; Prehospital Fibrinolysis; Helmet Removal; Spinal Immobilization; Pulseless Extremity; Hemorrhage Control; Eye Injuries; Burns; Snake Bites; Prehospital Pain Management; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Pediatric Procedures; and Trauma Assessment, among others.
