Polish Respiratory Society and MDPI partner to publish Advances in Respiratory Medicine -

The Polish Respiratory Society, the National Research Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, and MDPI have announced a partnership to publish the journal, Advances in Respiratory Medicine (ARM).

ARM offers a forum for research on respiratory medicine, covering allergology, oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases of the respiratory system. With the transfer to MDPI on July 1, 2022, from Via Medica, the open access (CC BY) license is now the standard for all future articles published in ARM. The journal continues to be owned by the Polish Respiration Society and is hosted by MDPI.

MDPI and the Polish Respiratory Society are eager to build on the journal’s more than 100 years of history, which includes pioneering research in the fight against tuberculosis in Poland. Together, the aim is to increase the international outlook for Advances in Respiratory Medicine and add to its visibility and impact within major scholarly databases. ARM is indexed for MEDLINE, as well as Scopus, Web of Science (ESCI), and other databases.

MDPI offer an affordable publishing option for medical researchers and practitioners around the globe.

In an Editorial published at the beginning of August 2022, ARM’s Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Adam Barczyk, detailed his plans for developing the journal into a prime venue in respiratory medicine. MDPI’s well-established editorial platform and processes will offer Prof. Dr. Barczyk, his team of Associate Editors, Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Kuziemski, Dr. Tadeusz Maria Zielonka, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Majewski, and Dr. Monika Franczuk, and the members of the Society all the support needed to reach the journal’s goals.

MDPI currently supports more than 100 learned societies and organizations ranging from affiliations to publishing journals on behalf of the society. As a pioneer in open access publishing with over 25 years’ experience, MDPI is interested in helping societies willing to fully venture into the open access publication model.
