Digital preservation specialist Portico has announced that the Royal Society of Chemistry, already an e-journals participant, will begin preserving its e-books with Portico as well. With this initiative, the RSC seeks to ensure that this content will be available into the future.

Portico is part of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance research and teaching in sustainable ways.
