Prof. Tetsuya Terasaki named new co-Editor-in-Chief of Cerebrospinal Fluid Research -

Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced the appointment of Professor Tetsuya Terasaki, Distinguished Professor of Tohoku University, Japan, as the new co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Cerebrospinal Fluid Research. Professor Terasaki will lead the journal together with Hazel Jones.

In his new position, Professor Terasaki will have responsibility for the publication of articles on neural barriers including the blood-brain, blood-nerve and blood-eye barriers. His major research interests are pharmacoproteomics, drug delivery to the brain, and the physiology and molecular biology of blood-brain barrier function.

Launched in December 2004, Cerebrospinal Fluid Research has been publishing articles covering all aspects of cerebrospinal fluid and choroid plexus in health and disease in the widest sense. The journal's scope will now be expanded to cover all brain barriers and will be re-launched in 2011 with a new title, Fluids and Barriers of the CNS.
