Professor Hans Kromhout, an occupational hygiene and epidemiology specialist, has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, one of more than 70 specialist journals published by BMJ.
Professor Kromhout will take up his post in June, succeeding Malcolm Sim, who has been Editor-in-Chief since 2013.
Professor Kromhout is currently Professor of Exposure Assessment and Occupational Hygiene at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences at Utrecht University, in the Netherlands. He is also chair of The Health Council of the Netherlands’ Committee on Electromagnetic Fields. Professor Kromhout has been an associate editor of Occupational & Environmental Medicine since 2009.
Occupational & Environmental Medicine is one of more than 70 specialist journals published by BMJ. The title has been adopted as the official journal of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
