Information resources and technologies provider ProQuest, US, has named Michael Gersch as ProQuest Senior Vice President and General Manager of business unit Serials Solutions, the industry leader in providing libraries with digital discovery tools and integrated management solutions. He succeeds Rob Mercer, who has chosen to move to another senior role within ProQuest and will lead Serials Solutions' burgeoning worldwide sales effort as Vice-President, Global Sales. Gersch will be part of ProQuest's senior executive team and will report to CEO Marty Kahn.
Gersch joins Serials Solutions from LexisNexis, where he served as Vice-President and Managing Director, Litigation Solutions. With LexisNexis for eight years, he held successively greater responsibility throughout his career, with previous roles that included Vice President and General Management of Case Assessment and Discovery, and CourtLink.
