ProQuest, JBI sign exclusive agreement for evidence-based nursing data -

ProQuest, part of Cambridge Information Group, US, has announced that it has been chosen as the exclusive, worldwide online distributor to libraries of full-text evidence-based health information for nurses and allied health professionals from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). A collaboration of nurses, medical and allied health researchers, clinicians, academics, and quality managers across 40 countries in every continent, JBI promotes the use of peer-reviewed health research to identify the best treatment options.

Three types of evidence-based information - Evidence Summaries, Systematic Reviews, and Best Practice Information Sheets - will be added to ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source. ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source provides users with reliable healthcare information covering nursing, allied health, alternative and complementary medicine, consumer health, and more. The database is designed to meet the needs of researchers at healthcare facilities as well as nursing and allied health programmes at academic institutions.

JBI's data will be available through ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source, along with full text dissertations in nursing and related fields, by early 2008. The JBI content will be made freely available to all ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source subscribers.
