Abstracting and indexing database Scopus, part of STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has launched an award with the Promotion of Sustainability in Postgraduate Education and Research Network (ProSPER.Net), Japan, to encourage young researchers and academics in the Asia/Pacific region. The ProSPER.Net/Scopus Young Scientist Award will be given annually to recognise an outstanding young scientist who has made significant contribution to the area of Sustainable Development.
