Questia, an online library and research tool for students and part of Cengage Learning, US, has announced the release of its new iOS app designed specifically to provide a compelling mobile research experience, allowing students to write even better research papers faster.
According to a recent Questia survey, students spend an average of seven hours researching each term paper, while many spend 10 hours or more. The same survey also discovered that, after researching, the average college student spends a total of 6-10 hours writing their research paper. Finding the time to properly research and write a term paper between classes or work is no easy feat, and researching on the go is even trickier. The new Questia iPhone/iPad app helps students access information on the go and write better research papers faster.
Questia's online collection contains over 75,000 books and 9 million articles. The new app provides a simple search interface to make it easy for users to quickly find and evaluate content. With the search feature, users have instant access to high-quality content hand-selected by librarians.
Reading on a mobile device's small screen used to get frustrating fast. The new app features a fluid reading style with easy-turn pages on par with the popular tablet reading styles.
While few people use mobile phones as their primary tool for research, having it as a handy side-kick for researching on the go makes for limitless possibilities. The Questia iOS app simplifies projects, making it easy for users to save and later access research both on their mobile and on their computer.
With the user friendly interface, students can easily navigate between the platforms to search content, read the material and add items to their workspace. The free app will be available January 14 for download in the iTunes store.
