Nonprofit scientific publisher Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), UK, has announced that its new online service for IOP-hosted journal content, IOPscience, is growing at a rapid pace. Each week around 400 articles are added to the service, and the current total has just reached 300,000 - representing 130 years of research.
New functionalities such as e-mail alerts, export of article details and a feature to locate highly cited articles have recently been added to enhance user experience.
All of these new features are available at http://iopscience.org. IOPscience is available through an electronic-only, site-wide licence, giving continual access rights to the years licensed. The pricing model is tailored to each individual customer, and is based on a number of factors including the size of relevant research at the institution and the geographic location.
