Reed Technology and Information Services , part of the LexisNexis family, has announced the launch of Patents.ReedTech.com, a website that allows users free access to USPTO Patent and Trademark information.
The new website offers users the ability to download a range of USPTO content, including published patent applications, granted patents and public trademark information, with all the data being provided under a contract with the USPTO. The bulk content sets available at the website will be the same as those provided in recent years by the USPTO through Google USPTO Bulk Downloads.
Reed Tech, in conjunction with an alliance with PatentCore, is also announcing its new Patent Document Search system. This latest addition to the Reed Tech Patent Advisor suite of online information and analytic services includes the ability for users to conduct full text searches across the substantive documents included in the files histories of an extensive collection of many millions of pending, granted and abandoned patent applications. With this new tool, patent professionals are able to search and sort through identified matching documents based on a variety of attributes, including art unit and examiner identifiers. The Patent Document Search offering uses the same conceptual search methods as most major internet search engines.
