Registration is now open for the NISO Plus 2025 Conference in Baltimore -

The much-anticipated NISO Plus 2025 conference is set to take place in Baltimore from February 10–12, 2025, at the Marriott Waterfront, and registration is officially open. Organized by an international committee of professionals from libraries, publishing, and information services, the event promises a dynamic, conversation-driven experience designed to tackle the pressing challenges in the information community today.

NISO Plus 2025 will emphasize dialogue over traditional presentations, creating a collaborative environment where participants can actively engage in discussions around critical topics such as emerging technologies, open access, metadata, and research integrity. The format of the event includes presentations and panel discussions, each followed by Q&A sessions where attendees can brainstorm solutions to shared challenges.

A highlight of the event will be the awards luncheon, where the prestigious Miles Conrad Award and Lecture, the Ann Marie Cunningham Service Award, and NISO Fellows awards will be presented. The ceremony will also introduce the 2025 NISO Plus Scholarship awardees, celebrating the future leaders of the information industry.

This year’s program includes two insightful pre-conferences designed to provide an in-depth exploration of key issues in scholarly communication. The morning pre-conference will focus on the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in the information ecosystem, examining its rapid advancements and ethical considerations. The afternoon session will tackle the challenge of measuring the impact of open access content, with a special focus on scholarly monographs in the humanities and social sciences.
