Registration for the 6:AM Altmetrics Conference is now open. Scheduled to be held in Stirling, Scotland on the 9th and 10th of October, the theme for this year is ‘Bridging Worlds’, with a focus on connecting communities, cultures and topics that stretch beyond altmetrics alone.
Delegates from across the scholarly ecosystem are invited to come together to explore ideas, hear practical case studies and participate in engaging discussions on altmetrics, scholarly communication, research impact, networks and collaboration, data science and research policy.
The booking form also includes the options to register for the hands-on user day, taking place on the 8th of October, and the Altmetrics19 workshop on the 11th: http://altmetrics.org/altmetrics19/.
Interested parties may submit their ideas for a presentation or a poster at this year's conference. All submissions are welcome - whether it is stimulating discussion through a 5 minute talk, sparking a debate through a panel discussion or engaging your peers directly through an interactive workshop.
Submissions should focus particularly on the practical application of altmetrics or relate more broadly to themes such as: Scholarly communication and impact 3.0: what, why and where?;
Emerging research cultures: China and the Global South; Mind the gap: building a more collaborative research ecosystem; Decoding the data; and New methods and parallels.
Proposals may be submitted before June 14, at 23:59 BST, to be considered for a presentation or poster at this year's event: http://www.altmetricsconference.com/programme/.
