Registration is now open for the 2022 CRKN Conference: Strength in Community. The conference, scheduled for October 3-7, 2022 (virtual thematic sessions) and November 1-2, 2022(members-only workshops in Montreal), will cover thought-provoking conversations about the strength of the community and the future of digital scholarship in Canada. A pre-conference virtual Intro to CRKN session on September 28, 2022, will be held for those who want to learn more about the organization and mandate in advance of the conversations at the conference.
There are two separate registration pages: one for the virtual thematic sessions and one for the in-person members-only workshops. Those who wish to attend both virtual and in-person events must register for both.
Registration deadline for virtual thematic sessions is September 23, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
Registration for the virtual thematic sessions also includes access to the September 28 Intro to CRKN session.
All of the virtual thematic sessions will take place over Zoom. You will receive the Zoom link by email one day prior to the sessions.
The virtual thematic sessions for October 3-7 are open to CRKN members and stakeholders, except for the Pre-Workshop session and Content Strategy Committee and Licensing session on October 7. Register for the in-person worskhops (members-only) will be held on November 1-2, 2022 in Montreal, QC. Registration deadline for the in-person worskhops (members-only) is October 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EDT
Interested parties may join the CRKN membership at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal for two days of intensive workshops on the future of major CRKN initiatives, including a strategy for open scholarship and the evolution of the Canadiana collections. Events will also include the Ron MacDonald Distinguished Service Award Ceremony on November 1 and the annual Meeting of the Members on November 2. In order to facilitate discussions about future initiatives and strategic directions for CRKN, the in-person events are open to CRKN members only.
