Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced that Regulation and Governance has published a special healthcare issue which illustrates the quest for more effective healthcare regulations. The special issue showcases a variety of healthcare innovations that will be relevant to regulation and healthcare scholars, policy makers and administrators, as well as healthcare professionals.
Articles published in this issue will focus on four key themes - regulatory pluralism, participation, accountability and capacity. In their articles, the authors tell cautionary stories which describe the need to reform regulation while also demonstrating the complexity of the search. They propose 'new rules' rather than the elimination of regulation.
A quarterly publication, Wiley-Blackwell's Regulation & Governance seeks to serve as a platform for the study of regulation and governance by political scientists, lawyers, sociologists, historians, criminologists, psychologists, anthropologists and economists. The journal aims to advance discussions between various disciplines about regulation and governance, promote the development of new theoretical and empirical understanding, and serve the growing needs of practitioners for a useful academic reference.
