Reprints Desk, Inc., a Derycz Scientific company, has announced the launch of Article Galaxy, a software service platform for research-intensive companies worldwide. The new platform seeks to improve processes and lowers the total cost of ownership related to scientific, technical and medical (STM) research, evidence-based promotions, and medical information responses.
Article Galaxy features are accessible via a user-friendly dashboard and include current awareness aggregation and alerting for individuals and workgroups, with curation and RSS publishing capabilities for newsletters and other resources created by librarians and information professionals. Order forms for single article document delivery, bulk article clinical reprints and eprints are also available. Federated search, powered by Deep Web Technologies, allows for simultaneously searching across multiple online databases covering more than 52 million records, with easy ordering from search results that have been aggregated, ranked, and de-duplicated. Time-saving integration with PubMed and publisher websites allows researchers to access Reprints Desk’s services from search results and abstract pages.
Additionally, an optional shopping cart-like experience helps users view price estimates and easily order multiple articles with a single click. A bookmarklet inserts searches from popular discovery environments into a monitoring and alerting system where references can be added to private or crowd-sourced bibliographies. Other features include a new online helpdesk and searchable knowledgebase.
