Research Solutions, Inc. announced the availability of Article Galaxy as a plugin in the ChatGPT directory. The release integrates the company’s scientific article access and document delivery capabilities directly into ChatGPT conversations, where a growing share of research activity now begins.
With the plugin, researchers can reference @Article Galaxy in any ChatGPT prompt to check article availability through their organization’s entitlements, confirm access and reuse rights, place document orders, and track order status with download links. Ordered PDFs are delivered through the researcher’s Article Galaxy account, maintaining the compliant, rights‑based workflow already in use by institutions.
The company stated that AI adoption in research workflows is generating additional searches, article requests, and acquisitions, which may increase overall activity across the scholarly content ecosystem. For Research Solutions and its publishing partners, this trend has the potential to expand the volume of literature transactions managed through existing infrastructure.
The ChatGPT plugin directory listing is part of a broader strategy to make Research Solutions’ products available across AI environments. Article Galaxy also connects to Claude and other MCP‑compatible assistants through the company’s Model Context Protocol server. Scite, which grounds AI answers in more than 300 million scientific articles, is similarly available through the ChatGPT plugin directory and as a Claude Connector.
The company emphasized that this reach allows existing subscriptions, licenses, and rights workflows to apply consistently across multiple AI platforms, ensuring a single governed process rather than separate compliance requirements.
The Article Galaxy plugin is now available in the ChatGPT plugin directory. An Article Galaxy account with MCP access is required for use.
