Science media company Seed Media Group (SMG), US, has announced that ResearchBlogging.org, the blog platform for discussions surrounding peer-reviewed research, now supports blogs in Spanish. Spanish is the third language supported by the site, which has been collating research-related posts in German and English since August 2008. Bloggers Evaristo Rojas-Mayoral, César Tomé López, and Efraín De Luna will serve as the first Spanish-language administrators of the site, and will lead the way in sharing their thoughts on peer-reviewed research, written in Spanish.
Visitors to ResearchBlogging.org can specify their language preferences on the site, receive RSS feeds in each language, and follow Twitter feeds in English, German or Spanish.
ResearchBlogging.org helps scientists make use of the explosion of data in the blogosphere surrounding published peer-reviewed research. ResearchBlogging.org is powered by Seed Media Group Technology, and was created by ScienceBlogs blogger Dave Munger in coordination with leading members of the scientific blogging community.
