ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), the largest not-for-profit publisher of peer-reviewed science journals in Canada, have announced the expansion of their Journal Home partnership to include the new Open Access Agreement Upgrade (OAAU). This enhancement builds on their existing collaboration, which already covers CSP’s entire journal portfolio.
The OAAU feature in Journal Home empowers CSP to identify researchers eligible for funding support through open access agreements with libraries and consortia. This allows CSP to provide these researchers with clear, tailored opportunities to publish open access in CSP’s 22 journals. The expansion brings several benefits to CSP, including an improved ability to identify eligible researchers based on their publishing history and fields of study, enhanced outreach with targeted messaging, and advanced reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication throughout the publishing process.
Since implementing the OAAU feature, CSP has reached 24% of eligible researchers across all institutions covered by their agreements within just four weeks. This expansion aims to increase awareness and facilitate greater open access publishing for authors supported by institutional agreements. The collaboration marks a significant step forward in making research more openly available while supporting authors and institutions in maximizing the impact of their work.
