ResearchGate and PLOS expand Journal Home partnership to include two new journals -

ResearchGate and the Public Library of Science (PLOS) have expanded their Journal Home partnership to include two new journals, PLOS Aging and Health and PLOS Ecosystems, from their launch. The collaboration is intended to increase the journals’ visibility and discoverability and help them connect with relevant research communities.

The expansion brings PLOS’s entire journal portfolio onto ResearchGate’s Journal Home platform. According to the organizations, the partnership provides PLOS titles with access to ResearchGate’s global network of more than 25 million researchers.

The partnership also incorporates ResearchGate’s Open Access Agreement Upgrade, which helps authors determine their eligibility to publish open access under applicable agreements and access information about available funding opportunities for publishing in PLOS journals.

Through Journal Home, the two new journals can connect with researchers in relevant fields and build their author communities as they develop. The platform distributes full-text articles through ResearchGate, helping researchers discover and access published work. Published articles are also automatically uploaded to authors’ ResearchGate profiles, allowing them to showcase their research and monitor engagement through readership, sharing, and citation information.

Other features include dedicated journal profiles, journal branding, and content sharing across ResearchGate. These tools are intended to improve journal discoverability and help researchers explore published content. The Open Access Agreement Upgrade provides additional information about publishing eligibility and potential funding options under relevant open access agreements.
