ResearchGate and Tech Science Press expand open access partnership to boost journal visibility -

ResearchGate and Tech Science Press have announced a significant expansion of their Journal Home partnership, more than doubling the number of journals participating in the collaboration. The updated agreement will see 12 journals from Tech Science Press integrated into the ResearchGate platform, up from five previously.

The move is intended to increase article-level engagement through ResearchGate’s network of over 25 million researcher members. As part of the expanded scope, newly published articles will be automatically surfaced on author profiles, offering real-time updates to readers and enabling a direct connection between content and audience.

The partnership also includes creating dedicated Journal Profiles, which will provide consistent branding across articles and touchpoints throughout the platform. These enhancements are designed to elevate journal visibility, support author outreach, and strengthen submission pipelines through targeted engagement.

The decision to scale the partnership follows measurable increases in usage, authorship, and geographic reach reported during the initial implementation. The platform’s ability to connect content with relevant research communities has been credited with driving sustained reader interest and encouraging new author contributions.

Through this extended collaboration, both organizations aim to support the dissemination of open-access content globally while reinforcing their shared commitment to visibility, accessibility, and author engagement in the scientific publishing ecosystem.
