The Royal Society has announced that it will become Development Partners with Publons, a peer review platform, a Clarivate Analytics company.
This partnership will allow both companies to fully collaborate on the Royal Society's strategic requirements in peer review. In adopting Publons Reviewer Connect, they will bring greater efficacy to the thousands of reviewer searches conducted by Royal Society editors each year. Extending Publons' Reviewer Recognition Service across all their peer-reviewed academic journals will also provide automated recognition to their valued reviewer community.
Integrating with all peer review systems, Publons' Reviewer Recognition Service provides peer reviewers seamless, instant recognition for their contributions, in full compliance with journal review policies. The Royal Society will have access to exclusive tools and insights designed to help them understand and serve their peer review community more effectively.
Launched in July, Publons Reviewer Connect combines Publons' cross-publisher peer review platform of more than 450k reviewers with Web of Science to deliver a high number of precise recommendations from more than seven million researchers. The Royal Society will implement this next-generation reviewer search tool across their portfolio, providing key feedback to Publons' development team and advancing new industry-wide initiatives such as real-time reviewer availability.
