The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) and Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) are expanding their collaboration to foster multidisciplinary contributions in social sciences and other fields. Building on their success with FACETS, a multidisciplinary, open-access journal, the two not-for-profit organizations are launching the Royal Society of Canada Reviewer Board to strengthen Canada's role in the global research community.
This new initiative aims to assemble a diverse and skilled board of peer reviewers from across the RSC’s membership, who will contribute their expertise to review high-quality, rigorous research published in FACETS, the official journal of the RSC’s Academy of Science. The RSC Reviewer Board program will encourage RSC members to serve as peer reviewers several times a year, playing an active role in the advancement of scientific knowledge.
Benefits of Joining the Reviewer Board
Reviewers will:
• Play a key role in advancing Canadian and global research by participating in the peer review process.
• Receive distinguished recognition on the FACETS and RSC websites for their contributions.
• Help promote Open Science in Canada by supporting the publication of open-access research.
• Gain access to exclusive training resources, webinars, and workshops to enhance their peer review skills.
The initiative is open to all RSC members with expertise that aligns with the scope of FACETS. The voluntary program encourages participants to commit to a three-year term, with the possibility of extension.
Through this collaborative effort, the RSC and CSP aim to grow a vibrant community of peer reviewers committed to fostering high-quality research and supporting Canadian contributions to science and scholarship.
