The Royal Society of Chemistry has launched a new journal which aims to be a comprehensive and relevant forum for those working in the many areas associated with water research, engineering and technology. The journal, Environmental Science: Water Research & Technology, seeks to provide a comprehensive and relevant forum for the diverse communities working in areas associated with water research, engineering and technology.
Environmental science is both broad and growing in significance; the benefits and implications of water research being of key interest to the public, the scientific community, international agencies and government institutions alike. The new journal will publish research associated with the science and technologies behind water resources, security and sustainability – significant environmental issues of wide-reaching concern.
Key topics for coverage will include new and developing areas of research in water technology, including measurement and analysis techniques, as well as treatment plants, membrane & filters, desalination, purification and contaminant removal technologies. Papers will cover hydrological issues such as water resources, sustainability issues, security, storage and distribution, surface water flows and prediction, the water cycle, microbial processes, water use & reuse and climate impacts on water and rainfall.
