The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK, recently announced an agreement with the Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES). Under the deal, the Society will make RSC journals available to 122 of Brazil's leading universities and research institutes. The agreement provides electronic access to all content of current RSC journal titles, and also includes the RSC Journals Archive.
Scientists in Brazil will now be able to read any journal article published by the RSC from 1841 to the present day. Earlier this year, the RSC also signed a five-year International Cooperation Agreement (ICA) with the Sociedade Brasileira de Química (SBQ) in Brazil. This latest announcement is projected to further strengthen the links between the RSC and chemists in Brazil.
