Scientific publisher RSC Publishing, the publishing arm of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, has announced that the first issue of its new journal - RSC Advances - is now online. The journal is freely accessible throughout 2011 and 2012 and covers the breadth of the chemical sciences, including speciality and interdisciplinary fields.
From Argentina to New Zealand, Korea to USA, scientists have shown their support for the journal by submitting their work. Communications, full papers and reviews are all represented in the mix that encompasses all the main areas of the chemical sciences.
Sophisticated behind-the-scenes topic modelling classifies the content into one or more of twelve subject categories, accessible via the subject tab on the website. This enables readers to go straight to the most relevant content. RSC Advances claims to be the first chemical science journal to classify content using topic modelling.
