Scientific publisher RSC Publishing, UK, the publishing arm of the Royal Society of Chemistry, has announced the online publication of the first issue of Integrative Biology, a new interdisciplinary journal for the scientific community. Free for all to read online, this inaugural issue contains articles on human mammary progenitor cell fate decisions; the analysis of aptamer binding sequence-activity relationships using micro-arrays; genome-wide transcriptome analysis of 150 cells samples; and more.
The journal is RSC Publishing's latest addition in integrating physical sciences and biology. The free online access to the inaugural issue is expected to give Authors' work the best possible visibility in the community. The journal will provide a unique venue for elucidating biological processes, mechanisms and phenomena through quantitative enabling technologies at the convergence of biology with physics, chemistry, engineering, imaging and informatics. It will publish a mix of research articles including Full papers, Reviews (Tutorial & Critical), and Perspectives.
Wholly owned by the Royal Society of Chemistry, RSC Publishing publishes a wide range of journals, magazines, databases and books. It claims to be one of the largest publishers of chemical science information.
