RSC Publishing set to launch two new journals -

Scientific publisher RSC Publishing, UK, the publishing arm of the Royal Society of Chemistry, has announced the autumn 2009 launch of two new peer-reviewed titles - Nanoscale and Analytical Methods.

Nanoscale will be a collaborative venture between RSC Publishing and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) in Beijing, China. The journal will publish experimental and theoretical work across the breadth of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It will have monthly issues containing a full mix of research articles including communications, reviews, and full papers. Nanoscale will appeal to scientists, researchers and professionals interested in nanoscience and nanotechnology, including the areas of medicine, materials, energy/environment, information technology, detection science, healthcare and drug discovery, and electronics. Chunli Bai, Director of NCNST and Executive Vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will be Editor-in-Chief of a new Asia-Pacific editorial office for the journal. Markus Niederberger of ETH Zurich and Francesco Stellacci from Massachusetts Institute of Technology will head two further regional offices in Europe and North America.

Analytical Methods will highlight new and improved methods for the practical application of analytical science. The journal scope includes pharmaceutical and applied industrial analysis, agricultural and food analysis, forensic analysis and heritage science. It will particularly focus on fundamental and applied modern analytical science, and will provide a forum for the wider scientific community, appealing to both academic and industrial scientists.

From launch, the latest issues of both journals will be freely available to all readers via the website. Free institutional online access to all 2009 and 2010 content will be available following a simple registration process.
