SAE International revamps Digital Library -

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International, US, has announced a complete redesign of its Digital Library, the comprehensive technical paper and standards solution.

The newly redesigned Digital Library uses the MarkLogic server with an integrated taxonomy of industry-specific terms to give SAE customers and members unprecedented access to the more than 150,000 papers, standards, and related publications in the Digital Library as well as the ability to quickly search, find, and share the information they need. Additional improvements to the new Digital Library include a redesigned, user-friendly interface; a faster, more powerful search engine; multiple filters for quickly narrowing results; and collaborative tools for enhanced workflow.

The new SAE Digital Library is designed to help researchers in both industry and academia. For corporations, the Digital Library is the complete, comprehensive resource for trusted mobility engineering information. Work on virtually every component of automotive, aerospace, and mechanical engineering is covered in the wide variety of technical papers and standards. On the academic side, full-reference listings and one-click citation downloads help researchers, professors, and students quickly access the technical information they need.

The newly designed SAE Digital Library and a free demonstration of the new features is available at http://digitallibrary.sae.org.
