Safari Books Online, a US-based e-reference joint venture between publishers O'Reilly Media, Inc. and Pearson Technology Group, has announced that books from Manning Publications are now available as part of the Safari Books Online digital library. The move is in response to frequent requests from current subscribers.
Manning's computer technology books are designed for professionals working in the trenches with some of the most complex technologies, including programmers, software engineers, system administrators and designers. Safari has added 18 of Manning's popular books to its library and will continue to offer additional titles throughout the year. Corporate and individual subscribers will be able to search and read the full text of Manning books, download chapters, add bookmarks, create groups and write private and public notes.
Manning joins the combined collections of Prentice Hall Professional, O'Reilly Media, Addison-Wesley Professional, Microsoft Press, Sams, Que, Peachpit Press, John Wiley & Sons, Elsevier, lynda.com, Adobe Press, Cisco Press, Sun Microsystems Press, Wharton School Publishing, Course Technology and many more top publishers in one fully searchable database.
