SAGE and The Canadian Research Knowledge Network announce new transformative agreement enabling unlimited OA publishing rights for affiliated researchers -

Academic publisher SAGE Publishing and The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) have announced a new ‘read and publish’ agreement that will benefit researchers affiliated with CRKN’s member institutions.

The agreement provides Canadian researchers at participating institutions with unlimited open access publishing rights in 900+ hybrid journals, including titles published on behalf of or in association with 400+ societies; reading access to those 900+ peer-reviewed journals (950,000+ articles); and discounted article publishing charges for SAGE’s 150+ pure Gold Open Access journals. Beginning January 1, 2021, the agreement will last for the next three years.

CRKN is a partnership of 81 institutions across Canada, including academic libraries and research institutions, national libraries, and Canada’s largest public library system. As part of SAGE’s commitment to openness in the research process, this agreement allows Canadian researchers at institutions partaking in the agreement to easily access more research and have their work available to read immediately upon publication.
