Embracing both quantitative and qualitative approaches to the study of mobility in communication, the journal will explore topics such as the use of mobile communication in local cultures; mobile communication in developing countries; the cultural differences in mobile communication; how gender affects mobile communication; specific methodologies that address the mobile character of the phenomenon: ethnography, observation, network analysis, experience sampling, and other emerging methods; and persuasion through mobile media in various domains.
Mobile Media Communications will launch with SAGE in January 2013, publishing three issues each year. The new website will be http://mmc.sagepub.com
