SAGE announces new consortia agreements across Asia for 2008 -

Academic publisher SAGE has announced several new consortia agreements across Asia for 2008. After a year of considerable growth in the region, SAGE content will now be available for subscription to member and affiliated institutions of the Japan Association of National University Libraries (JANUL); Private & Public University Libraries Consortia (PULC); Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC); and the Korean Electronic Site License Initiative (KESLI).

SAGE's electronic journals package represents one of the largest collections in the social sciences as well as an extensive portfolio of titles in Science, Technology and Medicine. Members and affiliates of these consortia can now stand to benefit from access to over 485 journals across 40 disciplines in SAGE Premier, the Subject collections and Deep Backfile. KESLI, based in Korea will also be offering member access to SAGE's eReference package, now containing over fifty titles in 2008.

The global publisher opened its regional headquarters in Singapore in January 2007, marking the company's commitment to growth in the region. SAGE Singapore now employs staff based in Japan, China, Malaysia and Thailand, as well as managing a network of agents and representatives across Asia.
