SAGE launches Encyclopedia of Case Study Research -

Academic publisher SAGE has announced the launch of Sage Reference's new two-volume Encyclopedia of Case Study Research. The encyclopaedia claims to be the first available resource to present a comprehensive overview of design and methods in case study research.

Written by leading researchers in the field, the highly accessible, A-to-Z entries examine the full range of methodological issues encountered in doing case study research and explore both the strengths and weaknesses of different paradigmatic approaches. Co-edited by Prof Albert J. Mills, Prof. Gabrielle Durepos and Prof. Elden Wiebe, the encyclopaedia is projected to be an essential resource for all public and academic libraries.

Key themes and topic areas include academic disciplines; case study research design; conceptual issues; data analysis; data collection; methodological approaches; theoretical traditions; theory development and contributions from case study research; and types of case study research. Using case studies as part of a multi-method research programme and evaluating the quality of research design and results are also discussed at length.
