Academic publisher SAGE has announced the launch of a new journal - Journal of Asthma & Allergy Educators (JAAE). Scheduled for launch in February 2010, the journal is the official journal of the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE).
A bimonthly, JAAE will publish original clinical articles for the multidisciplinary audience of health professionals involved in the care and education of asthma and allergy patients and their families. The journal seeks to provide an avenue for asthma educators to share the significant contributions they make in the lives of patients with asthma and allergies.
The Journal of Asthma & Allergy Educators will also serve as a source for the latest evidence-based practice in the field of asthma and allergy education. It will publish original research, research reviews, and clinical practice perspectives that enhance the effectiveness of educating patients and/or their caregivers on the self-management of asthma and related allergies. JAAE’s audience comprises primary care physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and others providing asthma education in a clinical or community setting.
